Taraji P. Henson hosts this awards show, which celebrates black women in culture. This year’s honorees include Insecure creator and star Issa Rae, Blackish actress and activist Yara Shahidi and singer Roberta Flack. The ceremony was taped this month in New Jersey.

The latest TV special about Princess Diana on the 20th anniversar­y of her death aims to put her story in context, and in her own words. The one-hour documentar­y also interviews people who were close to the princess, including confidant James Colthurst, ballet teacher Anne Allan, private secretary Patrick Jephson and former bodyguard Ken Wharfe.

THE BOLD TYPE FREEFORM, 9 ET/PT

The workplace drama about three staffers at a Cosmo- style women’s magazine has been a fun and insightful surprise. The series has already tackled many issues faced by young Millennial women, and this week its three central characters are threatened with layoffs. Jane (Katie Stevens) learns of an opportunit­y at a rival publicatio­n, while Sutton (Meghann Fahy) succumbs to pressure after she’s offered a big opportunit­y.
