MAKING WAVES

-

Comedian Kevin Hart took a serious tone in an Instagram video Sunday night, challenging his celebrity friends to donate to those affected by Harvey. The storm was a Category 4 hurricane when it first reached the southeastern Texas coast Friday, and FEMA Administrator Brock Long estimates more than 30,000 people might need to seek shelters because of the flooding. “I’ve just been caught up to speed on everything that’s going on in Houston with Hurricane Harvey, and this (stuff) is unbelievable,” Hart said in the NSFW video. “I think we’ve participated in a lot of challenges on the Internet — some meaningful, some meaningless, but we’ve all done ’ em. At this point, I’m going to start a real challenge,” the ‘I Can’t Make This Up’ author continued. “I’m challenging a lot of my celebrity friends to follow my lead in donating $25,000 to Hurricane Harvey — to the Red Cross. At this point, this a serious matter. I think that people are in bad shape and they need help.”

HOW WAS YOUR DAY? GOOD DAY KIM KARDASHIAN

Kim Kardashian stepped in for Kelly Ripa on ‘Live With Kelly and Ryan’ on Monday, flexing her hosting skills on the ABC show with Ryan Seacrest. During their chat, Seacrest asked Kardashian if she’d ever had a moment when she no longer wanted the fame. “I would say last season was really hard for me. ... I just thought, ‘You know, I’ve had it,’ ” she said, adding that she had moments when she thought people were plotting against her. Seacrest asked whether that doubt followed her robbery ordeal in Paris last year. “I just thought, ‘There’s so much going on, and we just never stop,’ ” Kardashian said.
