Winners in the last 12 FedExCup Playoff events who have been under the age of 30. The last three FedExCup champions — Billy Horschel, Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy — were in their 20s when they claimed the silver hardware and the $10 million bonus. The youth movement extended to the PGA Tour’s regular season as a record 16 players under the age of 25 claimed victories. In all, 19 players in their 20s won 26 of the 44 PGA Tour events.

Hideki Matsuyama, Jon Rahm and Rickie Fowler headline Golf Channel’s coverage of the Dell Technologies Championship first round (1:40 p.m. ET). Now the race is to the top 70. That’s how many players will advance after this weekend’s play in the Dell Technologies Championship. The playoffs will move to the BMW Championship north of Chicago after a one-week break and then conclude Sept. 21-24 at The Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. The postseason winner receives a $10 million bonus.
