Miles wants a resolution in two weeks, when the IndyCar season concludes at Sonoma Raceway. Miles says he’ll seek to slot the race in what this season was a hole between the July 30 event at Mid- Ohio Sports Car Course and Aug. 20 at Pocono Raceway. “It’s North American, so its analogous to Toronto,” Miles said. “We drive, we don’t fly away to get there. ... We’ve got an extra hole (in the schedule). We’ve got three weeks. I’d like to fill one of those.” — Brant James
