BRITISH MILITARY MEMBERS ACCUSED OF NEO-NAZI TIES
Four members of the British military were arrested Tuesday under anti-terrorism laws and accused of being part of a banned neo-Nazi group, the Defense Ministry said.
The four men — ages 22, 32 and two 24-year-olds — were held on suspicion of being members of National Action, an organization Britain labeled a “proscribed terror group” last year.
Though authorities released no information on whether the men were plotting an attack, membership or even inviting support for National Action is a criminal offense that could carry a sentence of up to 10 years in prison. The group has been linked to the murder of opposition Labour Party lawmaker Jo Cox in 2016.
