UNITED TECHNOLOGIES BUYS ROCKWELL COLLINS

United Technologies, a leader in aircraft engines and systems, took a bold move Monday to enhance its presence in the cockpit. The company said it will acquire avionics maker Rockwell Collins in a $30 billion aerospace deal. The two were reported to be in talks for days.
