A USA TODAY investigation revealed that lobbyists and contractors have unusual access to President Trump because they pay to be members at the golf clubs he owns.

That seems to be what his presidency is all about — adding to his financial empire rather than governing. He hasn’t even nominated people for some government positions yet.

In my opinion they’re all mostly corrupt, whether it’s Hillary Clinton or Trump. I’m an equal opportunity skeptic.

People with money and an agenda paying to get close to a president? Scandalous! Such a thing has never happened before in the entire history of our country. I’m sure all those people attending $20,000 a plate dinners with President Obama were just expecting a really good meal. Nicholas Riecken

Show us proof that these folks have actually spoken with the president. Playing golf on his courses doesn’t equal access. I am a part owner/member of my neighborhood golf course. Does that mean I have access to highpowered folks off the course? No, it certainly doesn’t. Ken Scott

So many people tried to destroy the credibility of former president Barack Obama, yet President Trump is single-handedly pushing the boundaries of morality in ways we never considered. He’s getting rid of a lot of the transparency Obama employed. Trump is either worried he’ll slip up and has something to hide, or he’s worried about his popularity. Matthew Farmer
