Former NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason on his radio show Wednesday morning about why partner Craig Carton was not with him, according to Deadspin. Carton, a longtime sports radio figure at WFAN in New York, actually had been arrested by the FBI. Esiason said he thought Carton had called in sick, learned about the arrest and then told listeners. According to the Associated Press, Carton faces fraud charges alleging he operated a Ponzi scheme and engaged in a ticket-selling scam that raised over $5 million, partly to repay gambling debts.
