MIAMI (FLA.) GAME CANCELED

The college football game be- tween No. 17 Miami and Arkansas State has been canceled as a result of Hurricane Irma. The game will not be rescheduled this season. The game was slated to be in Jonesboro, Ark., on Saturday afternoon — with the team scheduled to fly to Memphis on Friday before driving to Arkansas. Miami athletics director Blake

James said in a statement: “The decision to cancel these athletic contests is difficult, especially as some are scheduled to take place away from Miami. However, we made the collective decision that we simply cannot put our student-athletes, coaches and staff in danger traveling to and from contests.”
