HAWAII ASSISTANT INJURED BY CHEST BUMP

-

Hawaii linebackers coach, Sean Duggan is planning to travel with his team to Saturday’s game against UCLA at the Rose Bowl with his left arm probably in a sling. Duggan suffered a bizarre injury in the Rainbow Warriors’ win against Western Carolina last week. After Viane Moala blocked a field goal, Duggan met him as he was running off the field with a chest bump. The 6-7 Moala’s helmet hit Duggan’s arm and knocked him to the ground. The coach came up holding the arm and reports are that he dislocated his elbow and fractured his wrist. The university wouldn’t confirm what injury Duggan had only that he had been injured in the celebration, but stayed on the field for the rest of the game. “I’ve never seen anything like it,” head coach

Nick Rolovich said on his coaches’ show. “You advise against chest-bumping a 6-7, 300-pound Tongan.”
