Next stop: Penn State

He’s a Penn State football hero and a Pittsburgh Steelers legend, and if you think Franco Harris has a soft spot for the University of Pittsburgh, you’d be right. Not this week.

“When I was playing for the Steelers, I trained at Pitt every offseason,” Harris tells USA TODAY Sports. “I got to know some of the basketball players and football players.

... But even with all that, I still bleed blue and white.”

So Harris will be pulling for the home team in Saturday’s Pitt at No. 4 Penn State showdown, which is also this week’s stop on the Amway Coaches Poll Trophy Tour. Harris, along with the iconic crystal football, will be on campus at the Penn State Fan Fest from 1:30-3 p.m. ET.
