A White House official confirmed that President Trump is not insisting Congress fund a wall on the southern U.S. border as part of a legislative deal to address the fate of undocumented immigrants brought to the country as children.

The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA) is a card the Trump administration can now play. It is just deciding how to effectively use it to get what it wants. Jim Reid

Of course White House officials will link the border wall in any DACA-related legislation, which the majority of people don’t want. Saving and allowing “dreamers” to stay in this country is something the majority of people want, so that’s the only way funding for the wall will pass. Karen Benson Rescind DACA permanently! Undocumented immigrants need to be deported. End of story. They’re criminals simply by being in our country, and spare us the sob stories. Rich Hibbard

Trump is a coward. He could have defended DACA and still given Congress six months to revive and vote for the DREAM Act. Or better yet, propose one himself, but that would be work and he’s not good at that! Carlme Dramer
