THE STARS’ BEST QUOTES

“I would love to run for office. I want to be the first female governor from North Dakota. I worked in the Senate last fall, and I think that really inspired me just to realize the impact you can have as one person standing up for the voices of the people in your state.” — newly crowned Miss America 2018 Cara Mund to USA TODAY Tuesday.

CAUGHT IN THE ACT

James Corden stepped in some deep, deep Goop during Monday’s ‘Late Late Show’ monologue. While recapping recent events for his audience, Corden announced that Gwyneth Paltrow appeared on the cover of the first issue of ‘Goop’ magazine slathered in a mudlike substance before showing a modified version of the cover with the title changed to “poop.” Then, as if Corden saying her name beckoned her from the crystal store, Paltrow appeared onstage behind the funnyman. Always the educator, Paltrow opened his eyes to the number of people “living” the Goop life, including bandleader Reggie Watts and members of the ‘Late Late’ crew.
