WHITE HOUSE CRITICIZES ESPN HOST’S TWEETS
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders called ESPN SportsCenter host Jemele Hill’s comments on President Trump “a fire-able offense” during Wednesday’s press briefing. In a series of tweets Monday, Hill wrote “Donald Trump is a white supremacist who has largely surrounded himself w/ other white supremacists” and that Trump’s “rise is a direct result of white supremacy.” ESPN issued a statement Tuesday that Hill’s comments “do not represent the position of ESPN.” Said Sanders, “That’s one of the more outrageous comments that anyone could make.”
