U.S., ISRAEL TO EXIT U.N. AGENCY OVER ALLEGED BIAS
The United States announced Thursday that it is pulling out of the United Nations’ educational, scientific and cultural agency because of what Washington called its anti-Israel bias and a need for “fundamental reform” in the agency.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel plans to follow suit.
The United States stopped funding UNESCO after it voted to include the Palestinian territories in 2011, but the State Department maintained a UNESCO office.
