STEELERS’ BRYANT INACTIVE FOR SUNDAY’S GAME

-

Martavis Bryant’s request for a larger role with the Pittsburgh Steelers won’t be granted this week. The wide receiver will be inactive Sunday against the De- troit Lions after taking to social media to express his displeasure with his place within the offense, Bryant confirmed. He practiced with the scout team Wednesday. Bryant wrote on Instagram on Sunday night that rookie wide receiver JuJu Smith- Schuster was not better than him. The comment was later deleted. On Tuesday, he told ESPN he would like to be traded if he was not given a larger role in the offense. But he changed his tone one day later. “If I’m not traded, I’m going to work my butt off here, and whatever happens, happens,” Bryant said Wednesday, according to ESPN. “You’re not going to hear me complaining no more. I’m just going to be quiet and let everything fall into place.”
