Saints tight ends visited Bears’ Miller in hospital
A group of New Orleans Saints tight ends visited injured Chicago Bears tight end Zach Miller in the hospital this week. “He was very appreciative of us thinking of him,” Saints tight end Mi
chael Hoomanawanui said. “He was alert, and we were just talking like he was one of us. I know he’s got a long road ahead ... but it was good to see him.” Hoomanawanui said the group visited Miller on Monday and spoke about the “brotherhood” among NFL players. Miller remains in a New Orleans hospital after dislocating his knee during a near-touchdown catch against the Saints, an injury that required emergency surgery to repair an artery. The nature of the injury put the long-term health of Miller’s leg at risk. Other football players who have suffered similar injuries have sometimes had amputations.
