Congress is letting killers have their guns

I think it’s time we look at Congress as the largest group in this country allowing shooters to continue killing fellow citizens with such ease.

By lawmakers’ inaction to get assault rifles completely banned, they are potentially allowing thousands more psychopathic killers to continue doing the same as others before them. It’s ludicrous to watch the news media always asking what the motive of the killer might have been when it is so easy for anyone to pick up a gun and vent his anger and frustrations. What journalists need to ask is: What’s causing so many people in this country to be so angry that they’re ready and willing to kill?

We’re not surprised if someone leaves her key in the car and then it gets stolen, so why are we so surprised and shocked by mass murderers when assault rifles are so easily acquired and used to do what they are designed to do ... kill people? Ed Breeding Las Cruces, N.M.
