Marlins retain manager Mattingly

Don Mattingly will be back with the Miami Marlins. President of baseball operations Michael Hill said Thursday that Mattingly will return for the third season of his four-year contract as manager. The recent sale of the franchise to a group including Derek Jeter had left Mattingly’s future in question.
