Yankees’ Judge has surgery

-

Aaron Judge had arthroscopic surgery on his left shoulder, but the newly crowned American League Rookie of the Year is expected to be ready in time to start spring training. According to the Yankees, Judge had “a loose-body removal and cartilage cleanup,” performed Monday by Neil ElAttrache in Los Angeles. Judge’s anticipated recovery time will be completed in advance of the start of spring training. During the second half of his historic rookie season, the right fielder often sported a postgame wrap on his left shoulder. After racing to an incredible first half with 30 homers and 66 RBI, Judge fell into a deep slump after the All-Star break. Judge, 25, rebounded in September.
