Georgia’s Patrick arrested
Less than five hours after Georgia crushed Auburn in the Southeastern Conference championship game Saturday, Bulldogs starting linebacker Natrez
Patrick was arrested on an undisclosed misdemeanor charge in Georgia, according to online records. According to Barrow County inmate records, Patrick was arrested at approximately 11:50 p.m. Saturday and booked at 1:30 a.m. Sunday. The specific charge is not listed, but a local NBC affiliate reported that Patrick was arrested for possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana and was released Sunday. The Georgia athletics department did not immediately reply to a request for comment. This is the second time this season Patrick has been arrested and the third arrest of his college career. He was arrested for marijuana possession in 2015 and in October, prompting him to miss the next four games. Patrick had three tackles in Georgia’s 28-7 win over the Tigers.
