NBA owners tied to Weinstein

-

James Dolan, owner of the New York Knicks, and Marc Lasry, co-owner of the Milwaukee Bucks, have been named as defendants in a civil suit filed against movie producer Harvey Weinstein, according to court records obtained by USA TODAY. The suit has been filed at Manhattan Federal Court by six women who allege they were sexually harassed by Weinstein. They are seeking a jury trial and class action status. Both men were part of The Weinstein Company and knew of his sexual harassment, the suit says. The news first was reported by ESPN. They are two of 11 men named in the lawsuit, along with The Weinstein Company, Miramax, Miramax Film Corp. and Miramax Film NY. Lasry took over for Dolan on the board but left in October in the wake of the scandal. Weinstein has been accused of sexual harassment by more than 80 women, and his alleged predatory behavior over decades in Hollywood has been documented in detail, including the latest story in The New York Times, published Wednesday.

Haskell claims that Moon wanted her to wear thong underwear and share his bed during business trips. The suit also claims that she was demoted when she complained to the company Sports 1 Marketing, owned by Moon, about his sexual advances. The news first was reported by The Washington Post.
