Arizona hires Sumlin as coach
Former Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin is the new football coach at Arizona. The school made the announcement official Sunday night and said terms of the deal will be revealed Tuesday. Sumlin, 53, was fired by the Aggies in November after six seasons. He also spent four seasons as the coach at Houston and has amassed an 86-43 record as a head coach. Sirius XM first reported Sumlin’s hiring Sunday afternoon. Sports Illustrated also reported the news. Sumlin will replace Rich Rodriguez, who was fired this month.
