Fox bids on Thursday NFL game
Fox might be the only new bidder for the NFL’s Thursday Night Football package, which has been shared by NBC and CBS the past two seasons. Fox has placed a bid for the rights to the package, which expired at the conclusion of the regular season, a person with knowledge of the bidding process told USA TODAY. The person asked for anonymity because of the sensitivity of the discussions. CBS and NBC, which combined to pay $900 million over the previous two-year deal, also are bidding.
