Death of Snyder grandson ruled a suicide

The death of Matt Snyder, grandson of Kansas State football coach Bill Snyder, was ruled a suicide. According to the Riley County (Kan.) Police Department’s official report, obtained by The Wichita Eagle on Tuesday through an open records request, Matt Snyder, 22, died of asphyxiation at his Manhattan, Kan., residence. Police spokeswoman Hali Rowland told USA TODAY last week that no foul play was suspected and responders arrived at the home about 1:10 p.m. Jan. 17.
