Investigation of FSU QB dropped

-

The investigation into an alleged battery of a pregnant woman by Florida State quarterback hopeful De-

ended when neither was arrested. Francois called Tallahassee Police about 6 p.m. Tuesday after a fight with his girlfriend at the South Lipona Road home they’ve shared for the past four months. Both were interviewed and told dramatically different versions of what happened, according to a TPD report of the incident. Because of the conflicting statements and lack of independent witnesses, officers did not make an arrest. Francois told police said he and a friend were hanging out when his girlfriend showed up and started to argue with him. She began to break things inside the house, he said, and tried to rip a TV off the wall. She told police Francois became upset over a friend of his trying to talk to her. She said he broke down the bedroom door, according to the report, picked her up and threw her on the ground, cutting her forearm, and tried to kick her out of the house. Francois’ girlfriend said she did not wish to press charges and that he should have known she was pregnant because she’d told him in the past. She said she was about nine weeks’ pregnant.
