U.N. official says it’s not safe for Muslims to go back to Myanmar

It is not safe for the hundreds of thousands of Rohingya Muslims living in refugee camps in Bangladesh to return to Myanmar, a senior United Nations official said Thursday.

Though many Rohingya want to return to their villages, UNICEF Deputy Executive Director Justin Forsyth said, “we have to improve the security situation inside Myanmar.”
