A military parade smacks of autocracy

Presenting America’s military might through a parade like those Red Square extravaganzas or those goose-stepping displays of power by Adolph Hitler would only emphasize the bullying by this country and its current president.

This is not how I want people (and governments) around the world to see us. It smacks strongly of militant autocracy. Mary F. Warren Wheaton, Ill.
