Question: That new show A.P. Bio is so bad. How did it make it on TV?

Answer: Bad shows make it to TV all the time, although I’d disagree and say that A.P. Bio is more middling than outright terrible, and has the potential to improve. It’s impossible to say what, exactly, made NBC give it the green light, but Bio had big names behind it, which always helps when shows are vying to get picked up by networks. The sitcom was created by Saturday Night

Live alum Mike O’Brien and is produced by Late Night’s Seth Meyers and SNL producer Lorne Michaels. And it stars Glenn Howerton, who has a decent-size fan base from his time on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Q: Wow, that was an extremely

intriguing (Jan. 31) episode of Amer

ican Crime Story! I found it superior to the previous installments. Ironic because this episode didn’t feature Versace. ... I admit it is sometimes difficult to watch and enjoy because the lead character is, shall we say, like a devil. ... (Guest star) Judith Light will almost surely receive well-deserved award nominations.

A: I definitely agree with you. The episode you’re referring to is the third of the season, and is centered on one of Andrew Cunanan’s (Darren Criss) earlier victims, Lee Miglin (Mike Farrell), a Chicago real estate mogul, and his wife Marilyn (Light), who has a successful cosmetics line. It was my favorite episode of the eight I’ve seen (there are nine in total). Later episodes occasion- ally try to tie Gianni Versace’s (Edgar Ramirez) story to Cunanan’s a little too neatly. Q: Supergirl is off until April. Should I be concerned? A: I don’t think so. CW has a packed winter/spring schedule, including a new series ( Life Sentence) on March 7, a returning series ( iZombie) on Feb. 26 and a handful of specials. DC’s Legends

of Tomorrow will slide into Supergirl’s Monday slot until April, and Supergirl wraps its third season in June.
