South Africa’s new president promises clean government

Cyril Ramaphosa became South Africa’s president with a message of clean government and inclusiven­ess. Many South Africans hope he can reverse a corrosive period of division under Jacob Zuma. Ramaphosa, 65, was elected by ruling party legislator­s eager to shed political limbo and get the country’s leadership back on track.
