Rams tag safety Joyner; Steelers tag Bell again
The Los Angeles Rams put the franchise tag designation on safety Lamarcus Joyner. Joyner, 27, enjoyed a breakout season after moving to free safety under new defensive coordinator Wade Phillips, recording the first three interceptions of his career. If Joyner plays on the franchise tag, he would earn approximately $11.29 million in 2018.
❚ The Pittsburgh Steelers applied the exclusive franchise tag to three-time Pro Bowl running back Le’Veon Bell for a second consecutive year as the two sides remain in a standoff over a long-term contract.
