NORTH POLE BLOCKBUSTER STORE TO CLOSE IN APRIL

One of the last remaining Blockbuster stores will close next month. The store in North Pole, Alaska, had a loyal following but too few customers, store general manager Kevin Daymude told the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner. The Fairbanks Blockbuster, one of four remaining in Alaska after the North Pole closure, is safe for now, Daymude said. Blockbuster’s website lists three open locations outside of Alaska: two in Oregon and one in Texas.
