DOLLAR GENERAL BOASTS STRONG SAME-STORE SALES
Dollar General’s light revenue during the fiscal fourth quarter was outshined by booming sales at established stores and a strong outlook. The retailer reported fourth-quarter revenue of $6.13 billion that fell short of Wall Street expectations, but the 3.3% jump in same-store sales easily surpassed expectations of 2.5%, according to FactSet. Dollar General expects same-store sales to increase in the mid-2% range for the fiscal year ending Feb. 1, 2019.
