Marchers to remind politicians that science is essential

Supporters of science will take to the streets Saturday to send public officials a message that science cannot be ignored.

“We believe that science serves everybody and every candidate,” said Kristen Gunther, director for strategy of the March for Science. “We want candidates to see that this is something that is important to voters.”

The main rally will take place in Washington, and marches will be held in Houston, Philadelphia, Seattle and as far away as Kenya, Russia and India.
