BANK OF AMERICA TO OPEN MORE BANK BRANCHES

Bank of America’s earnings rose in the first quarter, and the company plans to open 500 new branches, expanding into Cincinnati; Cleveland; Columbus, Ohio; Denver, Indianapolis, Lexington, Ky.; Minneapolis-St. Paul; Pittsburgh and Salt Lake City. Benefiting from tax reform approved last year, the bank said its effective tax rate dropped roughly 9 percentage points.
