I hope Cosby verdict empowers others

Finally, justice has been served in Bill Cosby’s sexual assault case.

It’s a shame that once revered as America’s favorite dad, Cosby leveraged his influence and celebrity persona to abuse umpteen women. Although the cliché “justice delayed is justice denied” exemplifies this long dragged out case, I hope the victims will ultimately find solace in the outcome. I also hope the verdict of this high profile case empowers many other victims of sexual assaults, not only across America but the world. These are common people who could not muster courage and find a voice to seek justice for a long time. Hopefully, they’ll now come forward and openly demand equitable justice.
