A man accused of shooting at passing vehicles on a Georgia highway left hand-written notes saying he idolized Nikolas Cruz, the suspect accused in the killing of 17 people at a high school in Parkland, Fla.

The gunman, Rex Whitmire Harbour, 26, killed himself after the shooting spree Friday afternoon, which injured two people. Harbour perched on the side of Georgia 365, Hall County Sheriff Gerald Couch said. He had at least five guns and more than 3,000 rounds of ammunition, Couch said.

Authorities searched Harbour’s home, where they found the notes on the massacre in February at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Couch said.
