FORD F-150 PRODUCTION HALTED INDEFINITELY

-

There was no word yet on when production of Ford’s money-making F-150 pickup would resume after the company shut down production at the second of two factories late Wednesday. A fire recently halted a factory that provides the automaker with magnesium radiator supports for its popular pickup. Nearly 900,000 F-150s were sold in 2017. Production at General Motors, Fiat Chrysler and Mercedes also was disrupted by the May 2 fire at Meridian Magnesium Products in Eaton Rapids, Mich.
