CBS SUES SHARI REDSTONE OVER VIACOM MERGER
CBS has filed suit and sought a temporary restraining order against Shari Redstone, her family and her company, National Amusements, in an attempt to thwart a forced merger with Viacom. The suit, filed in Delaware Chancery Court, alleges they breached their “fiduciary duties by abusing their control to threaten the independent corporate governance of CBS” and “force through” a merger at “any cost.”
