WALMART’S ONLINE SHOPPING PICKS UP STEAM

Walmart’s battle with Amazon continues to intensify. Walmart revealed online sales didn’t just grow last quarter, they soared, with e-commerce sales in the U.S. up 33%, topping online purchases made at Walmart.com during the holiday quarter by 10%. Store traffic was up slightly less than 1%, and sales at U.S. stores open at least a year increased 2.1%.
