DISCOVERY SIGNS $2B TV DEAL WITH PGA TOUR
Discovery Inc. signed a 12-year, $2 billion deal that gives it media rights to PGA Tour programming for 220 markets outside the U.S. The deal, which begins in 2019, gives Discovery live rights to bring about 2,000 hours of PGA Tour content, including the PGA Tour Champions, to markets such as Australia, Canada, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Portugal and Russia. Discovery also plans to create a PGA Tour-branded subscription video streaming service using the Eurosport Player.
