ENVISION HEALTHCARE SOLD FOR $5.6B BILLION TO KKR

Private equity firm KKR will convert Envision Healthcare into a private company after reaching a deal to acquire the medical services provider that provides doctor-led services at 261 surgery centers and one surgical hospital in 35 states. KKR said Monday it would pay about $5.6 billion for Nashville, Tennessee-based Envision, continuing a health-care assets buying spree. The company will assume several billion dollars in Envision debt.
