I’m anti-Trump, but I think this policy of denying asylum to victims of domestic and gang violence makes sense. Asylum usually is reserved for those who are persecuted due to political or religious beliefs.

It sounds heartless, but unless people can show they were denied protection from their country, I don’t understand why it would be an asylum case.

The sad thing is, if things keep heading down the path we are on, Americans may need to seek refuge. Won’t your grandchildren hope their requests are met with more compassion than many are willing to show in our time?
