Derailed train bursts into flames in Indiana; homes evacuated

- From staff and wire reports

A freight train derailed in southwest Indiana, and several train cars caught fire, possibly because of a propane leak, forcing the evacuation of nearby homes Monday. The train derailed Sunday near a trailer park in Princeton, about 150 miles southwest of Indianapolis. No one was injured, Indiana State Police spokesman Sgt. Curt Durnil said. Rail operator CSX said the cause is under investigation.
