BOEING JOINS EMBRAER TO MAKE REGIONAL JETS
Boeing and Embraer announced a joint venture Thursday to produce regional jets. The planes will seat 100 to 150 passengers. Boeing will own 80 percent of the venture and Brazil-based Embraer 20 percent, the companies announced. Embraer was valued at $4.75 billion for the transaction, which isn’t expected to affect either company’s earnings this year.
