Imagine being a kid. Decades of slow cultural change in gay and women’s rights, plus a hyperactiv­e internet age, seem to be culminatin­g in front of you – just as you’re starting to get your first crush and trying to pass English.

The post-millennial Gen Z-ers, people born from 1997 to 2016, are forming their views on love, and we wanted to know what they are thinking. The USA TODAY NETWORK sat down with students across the nation to talk about dating, marriage and family.

Their answers ranged from traditiona­l to unconventi­onal: Guys should ask out girls, but girls can, too. Kids are definitely on the table. So is marriage, as long as it doesn’t interrupt school or work. Listen in.
