4 states sue federal government over Republican-led tax overhaul
New York and three other states have sued the federal government in an attempt to overturn the $10,000 cap on state and local tax deductions included in the Republican tax law signed by President Donald Trump last year. Gov. Andrew Cuomo and state Attorney General Barbara Underwood filed the lawsuit Tuesday in Manhattan federal court on behalf of New York and three other states: New Jersey, Connecticut and Maryland.
