Tour de France leader Geraint Thomas on fan reaction because he is a teammate of defending champ Chris Froome. Tour organizers had informed Froome that he wasn’t welcome at this year’s race until the Internatio­nal Cycling Union announced five days before the event started that Froome was eligible to race. The crowds, however, have not been kind. With one week remaining, Froome sits second overall by 1:39. Monday is a rest day.
