CHINA DENIES TARIFFS TO BLAME FOR QUALCOMM

China’s Ministry of Commerce denied that its lengthy anti-monopoly review of Qualcomm’s merger deal is linked to the U.S. tariff dispute. The tech giant dropped a $44 billion bid to merge with NPX Semiconductors because the agreement expired without Chinese approval Wednesday.
