MOVIEPASS RAISES TICKET PRICES FOR CUSTOMERS

MoviePass customers will have to pay $14.95 a month for the standard pricing plan that will take effect within the next 30 days, the beleaguered movie theater subscription service said Tuesday. Customers previously paid a flat $9.95 fee to see multiple movies per month. The new plan is designed to cover MoviePass’ cost and increase subscription revenue, CEO Mitch Lowe said, and follows several outages for the MoviePass app.
